JENNIFER ROSS

Meet Jennifer Ross:

A New York State–certified K–12 Dance and Performing Arts educator, holding a degree from SUNY Empire State University. Her classical ballet foundation was built at the Ohman School of Ballet, where she trained under Frank Ohman—renowned soloist with American Ballet Theatre and protégé of George Balanchine. Throughout her career as a principal dancer, rehearsal director, and choreographer, Jennifer honed her craft under the guidance of some of the most revered figures in ballet, shaping both her technique and artistic vision. A passionate advocate for inclusive arts education, Jennifer launched a pioneering dance program at the Developmental Disabilities Institute, offering students of all abilities the chance to explore and express themselves through movement. Introducing individuals to a multitude of genres such as ballet, zumba, jazz and hip hop for all skill levels and ages. Her commitment to accessibility and expression has become a cornerstone of her teaching philosophy. Currently, Jennifer leads the Syosset Varsity Kickline as head coach, where her leadership has propelled the team to win two national championship titles. Her approach to teaching seamlessly weaves together technical precision, creativity, and character development—nurturing confident, capable performers both on stage and beyond.
